We collect the name, e-mail address, telephone number and message you enter in the enquiry form, together with technical data that your browser transmits automatically, such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. Providing the form data is voluntary, but without it we cannot respond to your enquiry.
2.Purposes and legal bases
We use your form data solely to answer your enquiry and, where instructed, to perform the resulting engagement, relying on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual and contractual measures. Technical log data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure and stable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, while non-essential cookies are set only after you consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where German professional or commercial law requires us to retain records, the processing is additionally based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the BDSG.
3.Storage and disclosure
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and, if an engagement follows, for the statutory retention periods applicable to lawyers in Germany, after which it is deleted or anonymised. We do not sell personal data and disclose it only to our hosting and e-mail providers acting as processors under written agreements, or to courts and authorities where we are legally obliged to do so. All information you send us is additionally covered by the professional duty of confidentiality binding on our lawyers.
4.Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, and the transfer of data you provided in a portable format. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by changing your cookie choice or writing to office@ashworth.de. If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of North Rhine-Westphalia or of your habitual residence.
